Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique identifies harmful postural habits and patterns of excessive muscular tension which can:

  • Cause or exacerbate pain;

  • Result in a collapsed or rigid posture;

  • Exert a downward pressure on the spine, intervertebral discs, and skeletal system in general;

  • Interfere with our postural support musculature and movement; and

  • Have a negative effect on our mood and stress levels.

The Technique can provide relief from pain including:

  • Sciatica and back pain

  • Knee, hip, neck, shoulder pain

  • Parkinson’s disease

  • Arthritis, fibromyalgia & hypermobility

  • Tension headaches & migraines
